Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education (AROHE)
The GU Retiree Association is a member of The Association of Retirement
Organizations in Higher Education (AROHE). AROHE, founded in 2002, supports all
phases of faculty/staff retirement. The Association provides resources and connections
to increase retirees’ value to their colleges/universities, communities, and professions in
the areas of philanthropy, advocacy on behalf of the institution, volunteerism, and
institutional knowledge and commitment. The Association sponsors periodic webinars,
group travel opportunities and other programming that may be of interest to retired
faculty and staff. Descriptions and registration information for AROHE programs can be

The GU Retiree Association has an institutional membership with AROHE, and any
Georgetown University retiree can choose to receive the AROHE newsletter by signing

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU)
The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) is a national organization
that represents 28 Jesuit higher education among its various constituencies; provides a
forum for the exchange of information and experiences in Jesuit higher education; and
encourages and facilitates collaborative initiatives among its member institutions.
The Association sponsors more than forty Networks (formerly known as Conferences
and Affinity Groups). The Networks provide a forum for the exchange of ideas,
information and best practices; support the professional development of their members;
and foster cross-institutional collaboration. The AJCU Retiree Associations Network (of
which the GU Retiree Association is a part) was founded in 2019. For more information
