Emeritus Title Information

To be eligible for the Emeritus title, a retired faculty member or professional librarian must satisfy the following criteria:

• The retiree must have served full time at Georgetown University,  ordinarily for at least ten years.
• The retiree must possess a record of meritorious service to Georgetown University

If Main Campus faculty have satisfied the criteria they can use the Emeritus title. If they have any questions, they can send them to provost@georgetown.edu.
